Head Staff Chabad of Hunterdon County 2018.jpg

Welcome to the Head Staff of Summer 2018!

Assistant Director - Rachel Mizrachi & Head Counselor - Riki Jacobson.

Hi, my name is Rachel Mizrachi. I grew up in Brooklyn, New York. Over the past few years, I have worked in camps and children's programs across the country including  CGI San Mateo, California, Beth Rivkah Day Camp Brooklyn, New York, Chabad Hebrew School of Cooper City, Florida, and Tiferes Mordichia Special Needs School Brooklyn New York. I enjoy hiking, reading and spending time with friends and family. I am looking forward on  meeting everyone part of CGI of Hunterdon County, New Jersey, and am excited to share in and amazingly fun and  safe summer.

Hi my name is Riki Jacobson .  I'm from Montreal, Canada. Working with children and giving them positive experiences is what I look forward to each summer. I have worked in Camp Geula of Montreal, JCA West palm Beach in Florida, Camp Leah Rivka Toronto and have been a  volunteer for many years  at Friendship Circle  in Montreal and now at Friendship Circle in South Broward Florida. I love music, spending time with friends and going on exciting adventures.

I look forward to meeting the community and all the amazing campers of CGI of Hunderton County and working with everyone to make this summer one where every camper and staff member has a safe, happy, inspirational and memorable experience.

A fun, loving and highly qualified staff is essential in order for campers to have the best summer camp experience.  It’s all about the people!  We screen over 250 applications and interviews. Once at camp, all staff members participate in a multi-day orientation with both the personnel at the YMCA as well  as our Directors and Rabbi's ensuring we have the best staff on hand.

Our staff is carefully assessed for their departmental achievements, and their experience working with children.  All staff members are extremely qualified and experienced in their fields education and summer camp. Furthermore, campers at Camp Gan Israel benefit from an outstanding camper-to-counselor ratio of 3/1.
