Fifth grade was off to a great start when we began our day with Hebrew reading, reviewing what we did for homework and continuing in our books. We did a quick review of what we learned last week and then discovered how Kosher symbols get on Kosher foods and all the different Kosher symbols. We all got the chance to advance from fifth graders to master chefs as we each planned our restaurants menus with Kosher ingredients. To wrap up our Kosher topic we played a challenging jeopardy game and did a fantastic job! After enjoying recess with Tu B'shvat treats we got the opportunity to put our Kosher skills to the test with a Kosher symbol hunt at the in ShopRite. We even got the manager to help us find one and at the end we got to pick out a Kosher treat! A special thank you to Mr. Iannace for driving and joining us on our trip!
